Basic Wiring Information
Whether you’re wiring our parking lights or tail lights, chances are you’re staring at a small heat-shrinked harness with a black, yellow, and red lead coming out.
1) The black wire is always meant to be grounded directly to your grounded sheetmetal or chassis.
2) The yellow wire is your turn signal circuit for front lights and turn/brake signal for the tail lights.
3) The red wire is your parking/running light wire.
Center Bulbs
Depending on your tail light, you may also have a center bulb to wire up, which will be for an 1157 (dual filament) or 1156 (single filament) bulb.
1) The black wire is always meant to be grounded directly to your grounded sheetmetal or chassis.
2) The red wire is your brake/turn signal.
3) The blue wire for the 1157 bulb socket is your running light. This wire is optional, as you already have a halo running light, and wiring this center running light can drown out your halo light.
